The following chart is generated from data collected by the NYU Sustainability Department regarding the number of recycling bags placed outside for collection at NYU buildings. These numbers represent the total number of bags collected during the week of October 21-27th with the aid of NYU students counting the bags outside each building.

For the majority of NYU buildings, recycling is collected through a private hauler, Action Carting Services. There are however, a few buildings whose waste is collected directly by the Department of Sanitation.
